cherry tree...problem?

Hello everyone on this beautiful day,
I was sitting in the garden this morning and spotted this (picture) on my cherry tree...
Should I be worried???

    The top bit is sticky, the vertical brown stripe looks like seepage from it.

    Just a tiny bit of damage has caused sap to seep out.
