Permanent basket plantings.

in Plants
In an attempt to save money on hanging baskets I looked into planting mine with permanent things.
I chose Sedum confusum as it has bright green foliage year round, yellow flowers in early summer,is drought resistant and generally a good all-rounder.
Planted the baskets with cuttings stuck straight into the compost (gritty one I use for succulents) in November 2018.
They went straight outside on the hooks in their permanent positions,so have so far survived 2 winters and now coming into the 2nd summer.
I am so pleased with the baskets and as they mature the plant will hang down even more.
Has anyone else done permanent basket plantings?
