What is this sapling?

This was dug up in next doors garden,where excavations are on going. If its a "wild" tree I will plant it somewhere suitable. I dont want to nurture a huge tree for my little patch.

    It does look a bit like forsythia bark wise, but l'm not sure about the leaves ?
    Maybe @silversurfer might know ?

    Yes, I would also say Forsythia. You can control it to what size you want, prune now  and it will flower on the growth made this year.
