I have a well established pond, only 6 large fish in there, plenty of aeration. A couple of weeks ago I put a bundle of barley straw in to sink to the bottom. Recent days i have found the water frothy and white on the top, looks like washing up liquid...but not, any ideas ...Gill

Hello Anni, thank you for that, I did remove the barley straw, cleaned all pumps, filters etc, removed a lot of pond water and replaced it with rain water from butts.....all much better now, although, we live in the south of England and have had no rain and....water butts are empty 😏

I know how you feel, l'm in the South West and it's just as bad. The lawn is yellow and l have been using a hosepipe now and again. Carrying watering cans is wearing me out !

It's all a bit one sided, the north has had soooo much rain, maybe they'd like to share some, ah well, probably it will start raining when the combines start, we are in a rural area. Happy gardening. Gill. 🤔😊
