Thanks @Hostafan1 I thought #2 might be Cotinus, is that smokebush? also is Borage a keeper? as i think i have a bit in my garden. Tree Peony is stunning.

Photo 3 looks more like Green Alkanet, Pentaglottis Sempervirens.

I think 3 is Green Alkanet. certainly not Borage.

Thanks @Borderline and @Alan Clark2 in Liverpool having compared pics of Borage and Alkanet online, I now believe the one in my garden to be Alkanet and looking at comments I will remove.
