Siberian Iris - advice please
This is a two-part question.
1) About 3 years ago, I planted 3 rhizomes - Tycoon, Sea Shadows & Caesar (the labels have vanished so I don't know which is which), taking care to observe the recommended distance of 18". Two of them are doing really quite well, especially the one on the right which is about to produce a lot of flowers.
However, the one in the middle seems to be struggling. I was doubtful whether it would survive the winter, but it has managed to throw up a few rather feeble stems (no suggestion of flowers). Does anyone have any ideas about what I can do to give it a boost?
2) I think the other two clumps might well need dividing soon. When is the best time of year to do this?
Thanks.

Maybe move it somewhere the soil stays moist and cool, and give it plenty of space from other plants.
