    These threads just illustrate so well how negligent developers can be...just imagine burying that size rock in a new garden. A bunch of cowboys.

    But to go back to the subject @robertwillson it looks absolutely fine to me...just make some beds for more interest and diversity and you have the beginnings of a lovely garden. 
    First time I dug my back garden over I found the front half of a kid's trike. Talk about lazy🤨

    Ive not had to deal with your problem but if youre only looking at a small amount of gardening beyond lawn mowing then raised beds would solve the problem of the soil quality.

    I dont really get decking myself, but laying a patio on rubble sounds like you already have the hardcore down.

    Otherwise youre looking at doing the job a whole team of builders couldnt be bothered with - clearing out the tons of rubble and putting down tons of topsoil...

    We are self employed gardeners, the most bizarre item we have dug up in a clients garden was a green Mark1 Ford Escort, the windows were intact and the interior full of rubbish! However still waiting to discover that ancient Hoard. .....
