Thanks for your reply @Lyn. Yes, it is rough compost. I didn't sieve it before sowing the seeds :-( If I remember correctly, I had sowed some beetroot and radish seeds in this, however, none have germinated.

I can see the beetroot seed, maybe if you covered them, still might germinate. I’ve never had much success in transplanting those, I sow straight into the ground.
