Shrub ID

in Plants
Hello!
I'm looking for some help with identifying this shrub in my garden. It has grown way too big for the garden but I don't want to get rid of it as the birds love it! It really needs a good chop so I would like some advice on when would be best to do this and how hard I can cut it back. If it helps for identification, it blooms with white flowers.
Thank in advance
Rach
