soft brown leaves on wisteria?

We inherited an overgrown wisteria that we had to get cut back very hard last year due to it weighing across our entrance gate. We have some leaves and 3 or 4 flower blooms at the moment. All the leaves are soft brown and weepy looking. Is there anything I can do to cheer it up? I have been watering and gave it a potash feed. Seems worse after the feed!
