Friend or foe?!

Hi.  Please see attached photo of a weed/wildflower in my border.  I have tried (and tried!) to identify it online but to no avail, hence my asking you knowledgeable folk!  It's about a foot tall with this small yellow flower.  Many thanks in advance.  :)

Foe!  It's Wood avens (Geum urbanum) which produces 'hooked' seeds which get everywhere and entangled in pet fur, clothes etc.  They pull-up fairly easily but loosen the soil below with a hand fork to ensure the roots come up too.  Don't let the spiky seed heads form.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Hi @BobTheGardener!  Bless you, thanks so much for your reply.  I simply couldn't find it online, which was very frustrating, so I really appreciate your help.  I don't like to pull anything up but if it's a bit of a pest then I'm afraid it'll have to go.  Thanks so much.  :)

Ha ha @B3!  With *fiends* like that, who needs enemies?!  If I had a woodland garden it could stay but I haven't, so with a tinge of sadness, I've dug it out.  Thanks for your reply.
