Can you identify this shrub please?

Could some kind person identify this shrub please?

Photo taken in Kent on 24 March 2020.  I've looked at Acacia (flowers and leaf doesn't quite fit) and Cassia (flower not upright) but don't think it's either of those.

    My neighbour has one.
    They brought back seed from New Zealand (!!!) and it's now about 15ft high.
    I do know the name of it - somewhere in the muddle of my brain.. if it comes to me I'll let you know, but I guess others will solve your dilemma first!

    It's not Kowhai (not sure of spelling)  is it  @Pete.8 ?

    Fantastic shout, AnniD!!  I've looked it up and I'd say there's a 99% match.  Aka Sophora microphylla. And the Kowhai is native to NZ - thank you Pete.8
