My neighbour has screwed this to the frame over his fence at the back of our garden. I think it might be a squirrel trap but can't find pictures of similar ones online. I peered inside and it looks like it has food of some sort inside but it's hard to tell.
I know grey squirrels can be a pest, but I love watching them, and they barely go in his garden, they just use that part of his fence as a bridge to then run along our fence. He also hardly uses his garden at all, so it's not like they're destroying his plants.
Am I getting wrongly annoyed or does the guy just love killing squirrels?

I know squirrels can be really disruptive by digging in the garden, but please find another way to prevent the damage than one of these traps. Definitely not humane and we are contacting the RSPCA.
