Identification of shrub

My daughter has sent these pics of a shrub she planted last autumn.  I think its a rhododendron or azalia but can anyone verify please?

    Slow typing :) Oddly enough when I posted there weren't any other replies yet. Must be a black hole near my Internet connection distorting the spacetime continuum.
