Golden Wedding Rose

Hello,
I am seeking some advice for my Golden Wedding rose. But there is a story to its history which may or may not help but still feel I should share.
Last year the rose was in my mother’s garden in the garden bed on the Isle of Wight and had been for many years growing very well and flowering beautifully each year. It was a Golden Wedding Anniversary present to my parents back in 2006.My Mums garden gate led to the river and a few minutes away was the sea, so it was a lovely place to grow things in her garden. Sadly my mother passed away last August and in November I chose to bring the rose from her garden up to where I live in West Yorkshire. I kept in in the pot it had been transported over the winter months as I wasn’t sure where I wanted to plant it. Then in March I chose to move it into a very large pot. At first it seemed to be doing ok but then I asked a neighbour who is a keen gardener for some advice as the leaves appeared to be drooping, he suggested that it needed to be planted back in the ground where it should grow much better. I did this on the 26th April. For several days now I have been concerned about it and obviously it also holds the huge emotional feelings that goes with it, wanting to make sure it carry on growing. I have attached photos.I am a keen gardener but also still very much a novice so I am learning all the time and this is the first time I have cared properly for a rose.
Any advice will be very much appreciated.
Thank you
Sarah

Water it every day for the next few days and mulch it and hopefully it should improve.
Was there a rose growing there before?
Thank you for your advice.
It was an area of the garden that only had grass on it so I decided to create a new bed for the rose to go in.
