Blossom on fruit trees turning black
in Fruit & veg
Hi to everyone. This is my first post, ever, so please be gentle with me.
we planted some fruit trees last year. This year we had plenty of blossom which was all good until about a week ago when it seemed like over night the blossom all turned black. Can any one advise me as to what the problem is and whether it’s a problem with just the blossom that can be rectified for next year or is it the tree and nothing can be done and would have to be burnt. I’ve attached some photos, if I’ve done it right.
looking forward to your help.
thanks Derek

Thank you for your reply, we did have frost for two mornings around the second week in April. When I was checking the trees last Friday the blossom was looking OK but they seemed to of died of over the weekend, would this time line be about right.
The trees don’t get direct sunshine until about mid morning
