Are they weeds?

D0rdogne_DamselD0rdogne_Damsel Posts: 4,184
Hello all,

Just managed to get out in some sunshine to do a bit of weeding and now found two little patches of plants that are more than likely weeds but I'm not sure. They are both in little clumps in just one section of the bed, nowhere else.

It's a long time since I planted this bed up and I've been absent for about 3 years so just can't remember what ought to be there.

Any help appreciated.

Hello DD -  the second one looks like silver beet - and the third one looks to be something from the pumpkin family - could be courgette, cucumber or melon.  The other two, I couldn't say.
A good hoeing is worth two waterings.

Thank you for your response @tuikowhai34 but if they're going to be anything good I think they will be flowers not vegetables. Also, although The pictures loaded up in the wrong order there are two angles of two plants. I do appreciate they are very small plants and very difficult to tell.

I was hoping that one lot might be Clarkia???

The 3rd one looks like honesty.

That may well be it @JennyJ, I remember there being some there before now you've said it. Thanks.
