How do I move a belfast sink?
Hi, I am new to the forum.
I have a Belfast sink I'd like to use as a little pond, but it's very heavy and I can't physically move it. (And I can't get someone in to help for obvious reasons.)
I need to shift it several feet along a concrete plinth, then off the plinth into a hole in the ground (next to a bigger pond). It's just me and my hubby. Neither of us is very strong. And those things are heavy!
I'm hoping someone will know a physics/levers type trick for shifting it maybe?
Thank you for reading.

The plinth is an old garage base. It has a shed on it and a table and chairs which we can't really use as the sink is in the way. I can potentially move stuff around, but I'd need to build up the sides somehow so things can get in and out.
If I were to do that, I guess I'd be looking at turning the garage base into something else? Maybe with planters? We could make a feature of it.
Huh. That might actually work better. There's some shade where the table would probably work better. Thanks!
If you really need to move the sink, the only method I can think of is the old one of heaving one side onto rollers (smallish round logs would do or anything similar) pulling the sink along until there's one roller free at the other end, picking it up and putting it in the front and so on (hope that makes sense). I very, very, reluctantly had to leave a sink behind in a previous house, as there was no way to get it through the house and out of the front door!
It might be easier to convert the space as you suggest!
Pay a few big lads or wait. Not worth pulling your back over.
Ridiculous idea!!!!! Where are you going to find 6 Egyptian slaves during lockdown??
