Moving a Cotoneaster

Is it possible to move a Cotoneaster?  It's about 3/4 years old and not particularly big. Any suggestions on how to do this with success would be welcomed.

I moved one that had been in the garden at least 4 years and it was fine despite me going through some of the roots. I did it two February's ago. I think the key to it surviving and then thriving was me not caring how it did.

Autumn is best, but if you really have to move it now:

    1) Water it very well, leave for an hour or two
    2) Prepare the new planting hole in advance, add some bonemeal or other fertiliser
    3) Dig out as much root of the plant as possible, and try not to disturb the roots if you can
    4) Use as much good compost as you can find for the new hole
    5) Trim off about 1/3 of the plant after you have moved it, which will reduce it's water needs, and stress it less
    6) Keep it well watered all Summer, and give a weekly liquid feed

Don't do the move on a sunny or hot day, try to pick a time when you know the weather will be cool for a few days.
