Mutant Ninja Acer and other plant ID please

Hope that you're all keeping safe and well and enjoying the extremes in the weather! The rain down here hasn't quite got rid of the cracks in the clay from the dry period - and the pots need watering already....

I bought some acers - one of which, which I think is 'Acer Palmatum Dissectum Firecracker', appears to have mutated! It is a whispy-leafed, red, acer and it has started growing 'palmatum' type yellow/green leaves near its base. Is that normal? Not that I don't like it - it makes a nice colour and feel contrast, but I was going to take cuttings from my acers (so I have a copy, as I want to move them) and I'm now not sure what I'll get.!

Secondly, stuck in a corner, that I noticed a few years back and that seems to have reappeared is this lovely thing. Any idea as to  what it is? The last time I saw it, its flower head was so big and heavy it was bent down to the ground.

The Acer is on a rootstock @steveTu, so the new growth is from that. You don't want to keep that. Take your cutting from the good bit  ;)

The other plant is a peony. They do get top heavy, so they need a bit of support to stop them getting bent or snapping  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Thank you....I quite like the two tone acer. I'll take cutting from both 'bits' and grow them on if I can (another challenge for a novice) - but I think I'll leave the original plant as it is. The contrast of the two coloured and textured leaves is a good thing to me. Maybe it will start a trend.....No? Ok, maybe not.
Peony...right. We have 'stuff' that no one ever sees. The peony is so well hidden, that it's probably flowered every year and I just haven't seen it - probably only ever seen by Speke before. Another one to 'move' methinks - some place where it can be appreciated.

Thanks again for your help - always very much appreciated!
