Paving sand

I googled a question as to whether I could used Kiln dried paving sand in with compost,  saw a question had been asked on here, but couldn't find the answer, can anyone advise me please.

    I wouldnt have thought there would be any benefit, sand isnt organic

    I don't think so.
    Builders sand is a def no-no it may contain chemicals and will likely make soil more clay-like as it is very fine - I think kiln dried sand is similar.
    Sharp sand is fine to use though as the particles are much bigger.

    Thank you, I am an extreme novice, and know very little!! it was just that I read sharp sand was good,  and as I didnt have any, but did have  this kiln dried paving sand, I wondered if it would do🙄I appreciate any advice I can get.

    I just done a bit of googling and kiln sand apparently contains a weed suppressor called silicon dioxide, so def don't use for plants.
    I've learned something too today :)
