Pear tree - not even flowers
Hello, need expert advice. I have a pear tree in a very big container, and I imagine that it should have around 4 or 5 years. The last 2 Springs it had flowers, but then we had snow suddenly and it would lose all the flowers. This time I wanted to avoid so I have put up a frame with a cover of transparent plastic. Well, no snow, no frosts... and no flowers. I have checked the list of things that may caused this, but I did not prune heavily, since I have just cut a few branches, I do not have an excess of feeding, it doesn't lack water, it is positioned in a ideal place with Sun and sheltered from winds. So, if in the last 2 Springs it had loads of flowers... why did it went quiet on flowers?
I do not know what type of pear tree is, though.
Thank you for any advice.

The tree was not very big, I went back to my records and I bought it very small, with just a bare thin trunk, but last year the leaves had black spots and I decided to cut a bit because I thought it was some kind of disease.
