findaplant

Hi
I've tried searching on the RHS site but didn't find anything so any help would be appreciated
I'm looking for a plant for a large pot for my patio.
About 1.5 metres tall with a narrow spread.
Red, orange or yellow flowers which bloom all summer.
Must be able to withstand occasional strong summer winds.
Would prefer it to be hardy but can protect it over winter.
I've looked at standard types but they either don't suit my needs or are too expensive.
Thanks

I'm growing anthemis sancti johannis. Mine isn't very big at the moment but it sounds as if it would be similar to what you're looking for when fully grown.   Seems to be growing well and slugs haven't bothered it so far.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

Could you contrive a support of some sort and grow annuals up it?  Nasturtiums and Black-Eyed Susan would fit the bill.

@B3. Thanks I'm not sure that would work but you've given me an idea for my yellow/orange patch of border.
@Josusa47. Thanks to you. I've been using Black-Eyed Susan for a while now but fancied a change. I tried Nasturtium last year but it was rampant and ended up too heavy for my support. If you had a particular type of Nasturtium I would like to know.
