Fatsia japonica disease

My Fatsia japonica has got some disease. Can you help me detect what is going on please?

    The top/outside branches often look like that at this time of year. You can take off the affected leaves. I take whole branches off mine, probably in a few weeks when the weather gets a bit warmer, but mine is fully grown and will bounce back from a hard pruning. Yours looks like it's only got the one branch so you can't really hack it back.
    Also, the pot looks quite small. It wants to be a big hefty shrub so would be happier in the ground.
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained
