Cotoneaster
Some years ago we given a shrub which we were told it was a Cotoneaster has same type of flower, leaves which turn red in the Autumn then drops off. it produces Black berries there are no spines on leaves , stems.
I have asked at my local garden centre they can't solve this.

However they are hard to id as so many look similar.
In addition they cross fertilise with other Cotoneaster to produce new hybrids.
Cotoneaster do not have spines on the leaves.

Then you need to check/compare leaf shape, veins, size, whether deciduous or evergreen etc etc etc.

If you search for black berries you mostly get brambles.
But as already mentioned Cotoneaster are hard to id accurately.
