    I'd let it recover - it's been moved several times, and it needs a fair bit of time  :)
    I wouldn't expect too much from it this year - it needs to get a good root system established. 
    You can leave it if you prefer, and just keep it watered, but if it's very dry where you are, make sure the watering is adequate. It might be getting a bit of wind damage through those gaps too. 
    Did you plant it a bit deeper too? That encourages new shoots from below ground.  :)  
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
