windy garden

Surrounded by fields and have no protection from strong winds what can I do for protection

    We are in a similar aituation. Hedging makes a huge difference. We planted a mixed native bare root hedge a couple of years ago and already you can really tell the difference.

    We are also on a slope so adding more wind break hedging further up the garden too.

    If you need something fast or to protect particularly delicate plants then you can get a roll of plastic mesh fencing to act as a windbreak. Just Google something like "plastic windbreak fence".

    Hedging, but it also helps if you give more info. What do you need it to do, is it to protect you, or plants? What aspect? What is your local climate like? What time do you have for care and maintenance?

    Bear in mind that anything which grows quickly, doesn't conveniently stop growing either.  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
