Figs
in Fruit & veg
I have a fig tree which is about 8 years old. I don't know which variety, it was given to me as a cutting. It is in a 30cm terracotta pot sunk about halfway into the garden and it lives outside all year. It's about 1 metre tall now.
The tree looks healthy and every year it produces embryo figs in Autumn which grow quickly from April onwards the following year. All good so far. The problem is that every year during June or July, all of the figs drop off while they are still green and hard.
At the moment it has 10 lovely young figs on it and I don't want to lose them again! Please help. What am I doing wrong?
