Great tips @clarke.brunt. Unfortunately I had the same experience as madpenguin - mine germinated but then withered. I remember sourcing my berries from a grower in Tenbury Wells. They no longer seem to be in business but here’s an option

  • madpenguin - they don't do any more than in your initial photos in their first year. I didn't get leaves until 3 years. See the photos on my webpage - link in earlier post. If they've gone, then I'd wonder about suitability of cherry host.

bertrand-mabel - medlar interesting. There's a medlar I could try seeds on. I might have tried seeds on it before, but easy not to notice mistletoe for years. It seems to fail on pear - others seem to agree.

There seems to be a lot of it on the trees bordering the A21 and quite a bit down this end of South London. I don't know why but the fact it's way to high to harvest might be a factoe.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

Mistletoe flourishes in some of the lime trees in Burghley Park. I thought it fared best in the wetter parts of the country - not South London or Stamford.

Edit - just scrolled back to see I had already written this. Sorry. At least with this post you get a photo and correct spelling.
