Suckers on Olive Tree

Hi

Are these suckers on the base of an olive tree? I’m assuming tree has been grafted onto root stock. If so, assume I need to cut them off(?).

    I tried to look closer but still can't be sure, but I think it looks like it's growing from the trunk rather than from the soil. I had this on my old Olive in the past. Every now and again, some growth sprouts out. If you don't want that, just prune out. Looks like you have it grown as a standard, so the new growth may spoil the look.
