Alliums

I planted about 10 allium Globemasters last year in the green. Divided between 4 rose beds as specimens picking up the purple from the lavender edging . This year they have produced tiny flowers on very tall stems . Soil is well drained they get plenty of sun . Can anyone help please I’d love bigger blooms

Alliums really need to be planted six inches deep. Otherwise they split into small bulbs, and you don't get the big flowers.  A bit of food when flowering helps the  bulbs grow for next year.
  • Many thanks ! They’re not 6 inches deep. Guess it would be best to leave them until autumn until repositioning ? Will definitely give it a go
