HELP - my climber is dying!!!

I have two climbers either side of my house that I have some questions on:

- Can anyone identify the species of plant from the image? Climber has seasonal stages, berries in the winter, flowers in the spring.

- Can anyone tell me why one side of my climber appears to be dead? It grows from the same trunk as the side which is healthier so I can’t understand it.

- What can I do to bring it back to life? Or try and bring it back to life?

It looks like Pyrocantha from the photo and your description. Can’t advise re the difference in health - is there any damage in the lower trunk of the dead half?

Unfortunately it’s impossible  to bring anything back from the dead, you can only cut the dead branch off, even the remaining one doesn’t look to good, perhaps time  to invest in a new plant.
They're planted very close to the house so perhaps they haven’t had enough rain water on them.
