Duchess de Lorraine

hi guys
first ever post so be gentle with me. I am tying to find a uk supplier for a peony called duchess de Lorraine and having no success at al. I want this particular plant in memory of my late wife but so far can only find suppliers in America, Canada or Moldavia! None of them seem prepared to ship it to me for some reason although I’m sure it must be possible, that’s how many of our present plants got here. I would be very grateful if anybody could point me in the right direction as I’m getting a little dizzy!!!

Peony shop in Holland have one called Lorraine a delicate pink double. They will export to UK.  Duchesse de lorraine is an Itoh intermediate yellow.

Kelways are the specialists in peonies in this country, but they do not have it.  You could enquire with them to see if they will have it in the autumn.

  • Many thanks fidgetbones, I will make enquiries regarding Kelley’s as I particularly wanted the D of Lorraine as it is just the right size and seems to be fairly tolerant of amateur gardening.😊
