  • Ok will see if i can work out how to add pic
  • All 3 had good fruit last year and all fruit at same time so not late varieties any ideas  was very careful moving them especially with roots got me stumped lol
  • I thought sawfly to start with but shoots appear  healthy
  • Its like they are stunted a couple of the shoots actually have small flower on them . Is there not a bug  that eats from the inside of the branches leaving just a hollow shell . Think i should bin them so as not to let anything spread as they are near my blueberry plants what you think ?
  • No i just removed them from container to see if that helped and no weed killer . The one thing i noticed thou was they were in smaller pots last year and root ball is in shape of last pot but roots are compacted into a solid mass wonder if i break root ball up if it would help probably knock hem back for this year thou any thoughts ?
  • If a plant in a pot has become pot bound and the roots are after starting to grow around the pot it can help them settle where you are planting them by breaking up the knotted mass of roots. You can even be a bit rough in breaking them up a bit as the damage will stimulate new root growth. If you just plant without loosening the ball of roots it can take longer for the plant to be able to send out new roots.
