Hi @amancalledgeorge and thanks for the comments. I think you are right about the pot size and as @Borderline pointed out they won’t benefit from rain with the shadow cast. I’m in Southampton so never sure if we are South West, South or South East!

@samantha.elaine.jones for crashing your post  :( but hopefully the comments can help you also.
  • whatever helps 😊
  • I haven’t cut or clipped them, however that’s not to say the garden centre I bought them from a few months ago didn’t just before, and with the switch from cold to blazing sun, and in a south facing garden, I’m hoping you’re all right and it’s environmental. Hopefully one less thing I’ve managed to kill 😂
  • They are difficult to kill in the ground...unless one lives in an area affected by box caterpillar. In pots the key is feeding and consistent moisture. Good luck @samantha.elaine.jones this could be one of those small gardening triumphs we all need 😉

What do you feed them with?

Is a liquid all-purpose feed decent enough?
  • I’ve just bought buxus feed, previously I’d just watered them used an all purpose so maybe they’ll be happier now
