Splash strip ... any planting suggestions

    One plant would work well there especially from seed - Dwarf Greek Oregano
    It grows in tiny cracks. Smells wonderful and doesn't mind getting trod on a bit, lovely pink flowers in the summer and tastes good too.
    It started growing just outside my lounge door a few years ago and remained until I had the house renovated.

    Nigella will grow there. I have it everywhere in the gravel between paving slabs

    Just sow direct- it would be impossible to transplant seedlings I think.
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    But will not just stay in the narrow bed..it will escape.

    Easy enough to pull up any unwanted escapees though.
