Is this a weed?

Hi all,

Pretty sure this is a weed as it seems to be growing so well in multiple places in my garden. Would be good to
know what it is before I take it out?

    It's a weed. Geum urbanum. Don't let it seed!

    Leaves are source for caterpillars of the Grizzled Skipper butterfly and often on lists of plants beneficial for bats. It’s small yellow flowers are rich in nectar so also good food source for insects.
