Plumeria/Frangipani Help!

Hi everyone!
I have a Plumeria cutting that we have had on the go for about 2.5 years, it’s been doing ok, growing leaves and then losing them over winter, then about a month ago it looked like the new leaves were forming and it might even be getting a new branch!
I have a Plumeria cutting that we have had on the go for about 2.5 years, it’s been doing ok, growing leaves and then losing them over winter, then about a month ago it looked like the new leaves were forming and it might even be getting a new branch!
However things have now taken a turn, new leave bits have turned black and a section about an inch from the top has gone soft, it is then soft the rest of the way down but not as much as this particular section.
Do we think she’s a goner? Or is there any way I can save this plant?!
