Everlasting sweet pea?

    I really don't get these plants. Mine get very long and only ever bloom right on the end, so I essentially have a piece of string with a blob on the end. Do they have to be trained horizontally? I wouldn't mind mine taking over my garden if they did something interesting.

    @AuntyRach they are unscented, if scented I would have lots of them

    Came here to look for tips on this plant.  I have one that either self seeded or was waiting in the soil.  I tried to dig it out but it is deeper than i cared to go so instead stuck an obelisk over it but it likes to spread rather than climb - you have to catch it early and MAKE it climb.  I wondered if i could sort of "Chelsea Chop" it and get lower flowers.  It's very vigorous and growing in full sun in poor soil.
