Broad beans pest

Hi

Can anyone help me identify exactly what is eating my broad beans?

Thank you

It might be slugs, snails or even birds.though to be honest I have broad beans growing now and I have not had any trouble except the cats tried to dig them up,so I have covered them up with a wire frame but otherwise I have never had any problems like you have so I am only guessing what it might.we will have to wait and see if anyone else van come up with an idea what pest it is.

I had a very similar problem one year - the leaves were notched like yours are and it turned out to be a pea / bean weevil - a small brown beastie. The advice was to how round the plants in April and May but  with mine it was too late to rescue them, it seemed to happen overnight and I removed / burnt all the plants and restarted a new batch elsewhere in the garden.

Happens to mine at allotment and they have always performed well regardless.
