Centaurea montana and lupins
Hello GW,
Please can someone advise me how to tackle disease on these two plants? The centaurea montana keeps being destroyed by something which appears to attach the plant at the base in the centre. It looks like it might be in the soil attacking the root?
The lupins keep going black and rotting halfway up the stem and destroying the flowers. Is there anything I can do to prevent these two plants being effected by either fly or soil based parasites? Thank you.

Is there any chance you can post a couple of photos please ? I'm not sure what the problem with the Centaurea could be, hopefully someone else may know, but photos would help
