Help with tomatoes

Hi I'm new to growing tomatoes & I have been told to grow them as a cordon. I'm not too sure what is a sucker is? I will post some pictures to give you an idea, I have grown them from seed since 13/5/20 & look really healthy. Hope you can help.

Take out the side shoots it's the leaves between the main leafs and main stem just nip them out with your finger.

    Yes.
You have the main stem with leaves coming from it.
Between each leaf and the main stem a side-shoot will try and grow. It is these that need removing.
You can pinch them out soon as they are big enough to pinch out. I wait until they're almost 1" long so I can be sure to do it properly.
If you don't pinch out the side shoots, you'll end up with a huge sprawling bush all over the place. That's the reason behind it.

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit.
Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
