Recommendations for a pruning saw and loppers

After splashing out on some Felco 6 secateurs and regretting not having brought them 30 years earlier I am now going to buy other decent tool and ditch the cheap B&Q ones I've got.

First off are some tools for pruning my lilac after it finishes flowering. Does anyone have any recommendation for a decent pruning saw and pair of loppers?

    I am also a big fan of Niwaki products but they’re usually a couple of leagues higher when it comes to price.

    Thanks so much for these recommendations BenCotto - much appreciated.

    I was a bit taken aback at first as I read 'from Wilkinsons' and thought of that cheap shop now rebranded as Wilco!!!!

    Some of those Japanese saws look really scary!

    I have a Wolf pruning saw from the range which uses interchangeable handles.  It's lethally sharp, and I can get to most branches on the trees I'm pruning from the ground by using different handles.

    Wolf pruning was for me too and with 3 lengths of handles depending on what I need to cut it's good for most jobs.  I also have Wolf loppers but they are the anvil type and I prefer the parrot bill kind so i bought a pair for 30€ in the supermarket during our first year here. 

    The blade is superb but the mechanism for extending the handles lasted about 5 minutes.  Had them replaced and teh same thing happened.  Can't remember the make and it's raining but I can go and look in the shed later.

    I was looking at the Hayate stuff online. Specifically  this was their extendable pruning saw-for reaching branches several meters high.

    Very expensive, but it would seem the blade is top notch. Hence, I just bought the blade! £49 and intend fabricating a long handle out of conduit tube
