I used an 8 bulb t5 grow light (each bulb 54w) to grow coral in a 2 foot deep tank.
It's a similar light that (I'm told ) 'cannabis connoisseurs' use to grow in their spare rooms.
I think that would be to much for this setup. Try instead a single pendant hung above - Par38 full spectrum LED or something like a Lumini Asta Tropical LED. I'd imagine that would provide enough light across the whole sculpture.
Aquarium growlights are really expensive. Take a look at Kessil or AI Hydras for example.
These are all great thoughts and suggestions! Apart from those haters who are on my wife's side and think I should mothball this project. In the coming weeks I will post a photo of my wife and I enjoying a couple of daiquiris by our beautiful verdant living room oasis, and those not in support (including my wife) will eat their words.
