An odd query about aquatic plants!

    I used an 8 bulb t5 grow light (each bulb 54w) to grow coral in a 2 foot deep tank.

    It's a similar light that (I'm told  :#) 'cannabis connoisseurs' use to grow in their spare rooms.

    I think that would be to much for this setup. Try instead a single pendant hung above - Par38 full spectrum LED or something like a Lumini Asta Tropical LED. I'd imagine that would provide enough light across the whole sculpture. 

    Aquarium growlights are really expensive. Take a look at Kessil or AI Hydras for example. 
  • These are all great thoughts and suggestions! Apart from those haters who are on my wife's side and think I should mothball this project. 
    In the coming weeks I will post a photo of my wife and I enjoying a couple of daiquiris by our beautiful verdant living room oasis, and those not in support (including my wife) will eat their words. Thanks again for everybody giving this some thought and sharing their experience!
