Grapevine in greenhouse {Madeleine d'Angevine

Grapes just starting to form. Last year and 2018, they became covered in mildew, in July. How can I prevent tit this year?

    Plenty of ventilation, and thin the bunches of grapes far more than you think is necessary, so that the forming grapes do not touch each other.

    It sounds to me as if you need to increase the ventilation in the greenhouse and thin
    the bunches of grapes

    Thanks, Dove, but I have already done that, both years. Still have the problem. Also tried diluted milk, and Soda bicarb. Maybe not enough.

    🤔 ... I grow mine outside nowadays  so that’s the extent of my knowledge ...

    Surprised you can grow them outdoors in Norfolk. What variety?
    I have a smaller vine in a pot, that I can bring out later.

    The vine we have here is Boskoop Glory ... here are some I picked and made into jelly 

    There are some highly successful vineyards in Norfolk and Suffolk

    I grew up in an old Suffolk farmhouse which had two grapevines (one black and one white) covering the front of the house ... I could lean out of my bedroom window and pick warm grapes for breakfast.

    Looks just great. Must be at least ten years old. Do you make wine?

    We planted the Boskoop Glory in 2012/13 ish. 
    I used to make wine when I lived elsewhere ... lots of prizes on offer at the village Hort Soc shows made it a lot of fun ... but we’ve moved house  ... however if the lockdown continues ... 😉 🍷 🍷

    Thanks for all your comments,Dove, Those grapes are far better than any I have managed to grow. I have heard of Boskopf glory before. It must be really suited to your area. I really did not think you could grow them outdoors as far North as Norfolk, but now know I was wrong. Really enjoyed our chat, Best of luck. Peter
