No flowers or buds on my spring clematis yet!Picture I took last year at this time and it’s fully in

I’ve just seen the Picture I took last year at this time and it’s fully in flower does anybody know what might of happened? It’s a jan lindmark

  • I have C. Jan Lindmark too, and mine isn't doing as well as last year either.
    I wonder if all the wet, winter weather has had an effect on it.

    The macropetalas like drier conditions, so they need careful planting.
    My lemon one is covered in big buds, but it's in a raised bed, right against the fence,  with an oak leaf hydrangea, so despite our rainfall, it thrives. If I had it anywhere else, it would struggle. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
