No flowers or buds on my spring clematis yet!Picture I took last year at this time and it’s fully in

I’ve just seen the Picture I took last year at this time and it’s fully in flower does anybody know what might of happened? It’s a jan lindmark

    I have C. Jan Lindmark too, and mine isn't doing as well as last year either.
    I wonder if all the wet, winter weather has had an effect on it.

    maybe that’s it, we’ll just have to wait and see - at least the leaves are pretty!😊

    The macropetalas like drier conditions, so they need careful planting.
    My lemon one is covered in big buds, but it's in a raised bed, right against the fence,  with an oak leaf hydrangea, so despite our rainfall, it thrives. If I had it anywhere else, it would struggle. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
