    I'd never see half my plants if they had that depth of mulch.
    I presume you keep it well away from main stems?
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    @Fairygirl me about the same I'm on my 4th brew of the day, I like the lightening of the mood. Not sure my mate Danny would stand still longer enough to be fed into his giant shredder 🤣 and can you imagine how long you'd be cleaning the mess up 🤢🤢🤣🤣

    Do you do the mulch in autumn, when plants are dying back a bit more?

    I've mulched in spring till now but changing to autumn this year. We had a a real job getting the the garden ready for spring emerging builds this year and damaged more than I like. The main thing for me is that I don't see the weeds, it's made a huge difference on that front and help to keep the beds wetter in the spring.
