No fruit on greengage tree
Our greengage tree is about 5 years old. Three years ago we got 5 greengages. Since then we have had no flowers. It is planted next to a cherry tree, 5years old, which also didn't fruit last year although there was an abundance of flowers. How can we solve this problem?

The cherry is a Regina. We have had fruit 3 yrs ago but nothing since.
Both trees are planted in soil that usually stays damp a the bottom of the garden that gets waterlogged when it has been continuously raining for days. With the cherry tree I even went out last year with a little brush & collected pollen to transfer to the flowers. It has a lot of flowers this year that have just finished.
