Cuckoo

The last time I heard a cuckoo must be over 20 years ago..... and have heard one today.

Lovely to hear but not as lovely for the birds nest they have probably used... but a sound that takes you back to years gone by.... Absolutely made my day!!

    They've just arrived back here too, it's always a relief to see them return these days. With the reduced traffic noise it's much easier to hear them too which is an added bonus. So far just the one but we've had 2 or 3 some years.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    I’ve been hearing the cuckoo from my garden on most days since the beginning of April. I was starting to wonder whether a neighbour might have a cuckoo clock!
