i really like this show but they give prices that seem low?

They aren't paying for the plans either.
I think people seriously underestimate how much it costs to have anything done in this country. It would have cost me thousands to do the boundary fence in this [relatively small] garden, but I did it myself, so it was only the materials - and my time and sweat.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I prefer Charlie’s design as the Rich brothers seem to be fascinated in grasses and trees that will normally grow to big for the size of garden
When the ask the client if they think their money has been well spent, some of them hesitate before giving their answer
I know it’s done mainly on a cheap budget but paint the fences, lay new lawn and use edging when you lay the bonded gravel would make the finished job look a lot better.
However, it is definitely a show about what can be done rather than a how to show and they do state very clearly that the budget only covers plants and materials, not labour, machinery hire or design.
